Tim McGraw ‘Really Excited’ About New Tunes

With the first phase of Tim McGraw's legal battle with his former record label, Curb Records, behind him, the country superstar is moving full-speed ahead with the next chapter of his career, and is choosing to remain positive about the experience.

"I fought very hard for the release of 'Emotional Traffic,' it's an album full of music of which I am very proud," he shares on his website. "It's extremely unfortunate that it wasn't released earlier this year in conjunction with the Emotional Traffic tour, but all I want to do now is focus on the positive and look to the future. I'm really excited about the new music I'm recording."

The Louisiana native is releasing two new tunes in the very near future. "I'm putting out a holiday song I've just recorded called 'Christmas All Over the World,'" he continues. "After the first of the year, I'll have a brand new single which I can hardly wait to share with everyone. I am so appreciative of the support I've received over the years, and I'm looking forward to this next chapter of my career."

Tim won his lawsuit against Curb Records, which granted him the right to record new music on another label. He will head back to court in July of 2012 with his former label to settle whether or not he breeched his contract by recording his latest album too early.

'Emotional Traffic' will hit shelves on January 17, 2012. In addition to celebrating the release of the long-awaited CD, the father of three girls will travel to Australia in March to perform a series of dates with his wife, Faith Hill. He'll also head out over the summer with his good friend, Kenny Chesney, to play a series of stadium shows as part of their Brothers of the Sun tour. Keep track of his concert schedule here.
