With the Thanksgiving holiday behind him, Tim McGraw is undoubtedly focusing his attention on the pending lawsuit brought by his longtime label, Curb Records. The country superstar will head to Davidson County Court in Nashville tomorrow (Nov. 29) to determine whether he can record new music on another record label, while all aspects of this lawsuit wind their way through the court system.

The legal dispute began last May, when the head of Curb Records, Mike Curb, sued the 'Felt Good on My Lips' singer, alleging he turned in his latest, still-unreleased album, 'Emotional Traffic,' too early. Tim counter-sued one week later, accusing the label (according to Nashville's Tennessean) of "involuntary servitude" by releasing several greatest hits albums to prolong his contract, which stipulated waiting 18 months between new studio albums. A trial date was set for July 2012.

Tomorrow's court date will, according to court records, "first make a final determination on whether or not Curb is entitled to prevent Mr. McGraw, by injunction or otherwise, from recording for other entities other than Curb."

He may be dealing with plenty of legal proceedings, but the 44-year-old entertainer is confident things will go his way. "All I can do is keep doing what I do," he notes. "I've always been a good, honest guy and done the work the way it needed to be done and fulfilled whatever I've been obligated to do. All you can do is hope our good faith pays off in the end ... Whatever is the best situation for me to move forward is what I'm going to do, and I'm gonna keep an open mind about it."

The multi-platinum-selling singer just announced he would hit the road next year with his good friend, Kenny Chesney, for Kenny's Brothers of the Sun tour. The trek will kick off on June 2 in Tampa, Fla. Tickets for the 19-city tour will go on sale this Saturday, Dec. 3, and can be purchased here.
