Northern Ireland's The Rising have a brand-new single and music video to share with fans, and they're giving The Boot's readers an exclusive first peek. Press play above to hear "Rebound," and see the new track's accompanying music video.

"Rebound" is The Rising's first single from their forthcoming new album, Moving On. The band says the selected the track in order to showcase a different side of their sound, and to highlight an introspective turn in their songwriting, "where we seek to ... share parts of ourselves that we previously kept covered up by using metaphors."

"A lot of people know us for poppy, happy-go-lucky-type songs based upon our previous singles. So we wanted to show that we are more than that, show a different side of ourselves that people may not know," The Rising tell The Boot. "We also feel that "Rebound" kind of sums up our new sound and direction. It was a deliberate attempt to fuse modern country with traditional country elements."

Now comprised of Chris Logan on guitar, banjo and mandolin; Chantelle McAteer on vocals; and Brian Mellors on bass, The Rising released their debut album, Coming Home, in 2014. In the years since, they've weathered some lineup changes and gained momentum in both the United Kingdom and in the U.S.

The Rising will release Moving On, their third studio album, on Aug. 3; the project is available for pre-order on a number of digital platforms, and special bundles are available through PledgeMusic. Visit TheRisingMusic.com to keep up with the band's goings-on.
