Husband-and-wife country duo the Dryes are preparing to release a new EP, and they're giving The Boot's readers a first listen to one of its tracks. Press play below to hear "Discount Daydreams," which is the pair's new single.

"Discount Daydreams" is a mid-tempo, guitar-driven love song -- think John Mayer meets country's musical-couple-in-love harmonies. Katelyn Drye sings lead on most of the track, as her husband Derek Drye offers up background vocals and a few solo lines near the end of the tune.

"Baby, I don't need roses / I don't need diamonds," Katelyn Drye sings to open "Discount Daydreams," which takes its name from a line in its second verse. "I only need one thing, one thing / You know what I mean / I only need you."

"Discount Daydreams" is the second single from the Dryes' second EP, Vol. II, due out this spring. The first release from the project, "War," earned the duo recognition from CMT and has racked up 400,000-plus streams on Spotify.

Vol. II, which contains four songs, follows the Dryes' first EP, 2018's Vol. I. Both projects were recorded at Nashville's Blackbird Studios. The Dryes are both originally from North Carolina -- Derek from Thomasville, Katelyn from Winston-Salem -- but they now reside in Music City.

"Discount Daydreams" is officially set for release on Feb. 15. Visit TheDryes.com for more details.
