Taylor Swift loves to write songs based on the idea of fairytale romance. Her latest, 'Today Was a Fairytale,' from the 'Valentine's Day' soundtrack builds upon that theme quite nicely. But the reigning princess of pop and country music is building on the whole idea at home, too. Taylor is wielding her magic wand to cast a whimsical spell over the living room of the 4,062-square-foot penthouse she recently purchased in Nashville.

"It's going to be my fantasy world," Taylor says in the current issue of Rolling Stone magazine. "There's a pond in the living room ... the pond is a moat around the fireplace, and may possibly have koi fish in it."

But wait ... there's more magic to be spun!

"You step on a stepping stone in the pond in order to get on a spiral staircase, which takes you up to the human-sized bird cage observatory," Taylor continues. "They're delivering a human-sized birdcage, which I'll put a brass telescope in. The ceiling of my living room is painted like the night sky."

Taylor has spent the past few months designing the interior of her first home, located in The Adelicia in downtown Nashville. The 18-story apartment tower offers such luxurious appointments as a 3,000-square-foot gym, a sprawling rooftop deck with Olympic length lap pool, a private pool-side lounge with catering kitchen for private parties, a resident's only dog park and 24/7 concierge and security services. Other tenants reportedly include Julianne Hough, Kings of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill and 'American Idol' creator Simon Fuller.

Recently, however, Taylor put aside her magic wand and picked up her guitar to sing on the 'Hope for Haiti' benefit telethon, and she also answered phones during the all-star telecast.
