Taylor Swift is still circling the globe on her Speak Now world tour, somehow also finding the time to do a lot of songwriting. The 21-year-old reports that she already has more than two dozen songs penned for her next album, due sometime in 2012, which could be a year of even more career milestones.

"[I'm working on] some surprise projects that may or may not happen, and possibly some acting," Taylor reveals to MTV. "I've just been so excited about what's gonna happen in the next year."

The young superstar is also optimistic about the new set of tunes, which she admits will have more sad songs than her previous projects. "I've been writing all the time," she notes. "I can't believe I'm saying that already: It comes out in a year, but I'm already excited about it."

Before Taylor enjoys everything the new year has to bring, there's one more thing she's looking forward to. "I'm excited about the holidays," she says. "I love Christmas. I love the whole build-up to Christmas and the way that everything is exciting and winter green-ish and Christmas tree-ish."

Taylor, who will turn 22 on Dec. 13, has 17 more shows in 2011, including stops in California, Texas and Florida, before she takes a couple months off. She'll take time out of her tour schedule to head to the CMA Awards on Nov. 9, where she is nominated for five awards, including Entertainer of the Year.

The 45th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on November 9, 2011 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
