Taylor Swift might not have won at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night (Jan. 12), but she sure got huge props from actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Swift was in the middle of an interview with Ryan Seacrest during E! Entertainment's pre-show broadcast when the irrepressible 'American Hustle' star came up and gave her a big hug.

"I was gonna come and push you down the stairs," Lawrence joked. "I was like, 'She'll crack up. She would really love that.'"

The interview turned into a mutual admiration society, with Lawrence gushing over Swift's CMA  Awards performance from November.

"I freaked out over the CMAs," she said. "I sent her a text message that was, like, six inches long."

Swift then said that she felt the same after seeing Lawrence's performance in 'American Hustle,' for which the actress went on to win Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture later in the evening.

"I was doing the same thing," Swift told her. "I wanted so badly to send a novel text message."

Swift was nominated for Best Original Song for 'Sweeter Than Fiction,' which she wrote for 'One Chance.' The award went to U2 and Danger Mouse for 'Ordinary Love,' from 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.'
