Taylor Swift Surprises Hall of Fame Field Trip

Taylor Swift gave elementary students from a Middle Tennessee school an unforgettable experience during a recent field trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The fourth grade class from Lascassas Elementary School in Rutherford County, just outside of Nashville, were visiting the Taylor Swift Education Center last week when the songstress surprised the students by making a personal appearance.

Swift took time to snap photos, answer a few questions, and even perform an acoustic version of her hit, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.'

The Taylor Swift Education Center, which opened in October, is thanks to a generous $4 million donation from the singer. The center includes two stories, three classrooms and a children's exhibit gallery.

“I learned all about country music through what I saw on TV and the research that I did,” she explains of her gift. “I didn’t really know that there was a museum you could go to, to see all these different outfits from all these legends. I didn’t know that you could go to a place and see it all in person. [It's] amazing, I think, for kids to get to have a place where they can go and learn what they possibly can.”
