Taylor Swift Covers Rolling Stone
Taylor Swift talks romance, sex, and the perils of young stardom in the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
In a candid cover story hitting newsstands this week, the 19-year-old was questioned on the subject of her virginity but wouldn't discuss specifics, saying instead, "I feel like whatever you say about whether you do or don't, it makes people picture you naked. And as much as possible I'm going to avoid that."
She does, however, confirm that she has never smoked a cigarette or tasted an alcoholic beverage.
Swift cites Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan as stars she once admired, but has vowed not to emulate in her own life and career, saying, "When you lose someone's trust, it's lost, and there are a lot of people out there who are counting on me right now."
And even though her much talked-about romantic relationship with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers inspired several of her songs, Swift says her songwriting is also heavily influenced by friends, family, and others around her.
"I love love," says Swift. "I love thinking about how we treat each other, and the crazy way that one person can feel one thing and another can feel totally different."
Swift joins a select number of young female country stars who've covered Rolling Stone, including Tanya Tucker and LeAnn Rimes.
