Jay DeMarcus and Jason Crabb discuss their new partnership and what lays ahead for Red Street Records.

There are many country music stars who have equally famous relatives, many of whom are in the music industry as well.

The two first met while filming the music video for the Flatts' single "These Days," in 2002.

Mom, Mother, Mama, Mommy -- whatever she's called, she's played an integral role in these country stars' lives.

"I can't imagine in a million years having something in front of you that you've dreamed of your whole life, and going, 'No, I don't think so ...'"

Now, DeMarcus says he hopes his memoir reaches people who are going through challenging times of their own.

"But it was very difficult, and I can tell you, it didn't get any easier for a long, long time," he adds.

Plus, he's announced his two fledgeling artists, Lauren James and Avalon!

"My ultimate goal is that the book will encourage people that, no matter where they are in their lives, they can find hope, comfort and strength in their faith," says DeMarcus.

Can you imagine Rascal Flatts performing a hair metal band-style cover? Well, the group says it might be in the works.
