Suzy Bogguss released her country music debut, Somewhere Between, in 1989, followed by Moment of Truth in 1990 and Aces in 1991. The latter album propelled Bogguss into country stardom, as it hit No. 15 on the country charts (her highest-charting record) and gave her three Top 10 hits.

Because of the success of Aces, Bogguss received the CMA Horizon Award. She followed it up with two gold-certified albums, Voices in the Wind (1992) and Something Up My Sleeve (1993), and has kept recording: two holiday projects, one live album and two greatest hits records are also in her repertoire. Bogguss most recently released a record of Merle Haggard songs, Lucky, in 2014.

More recently, Bogguss has been touring with fellow '90s country hitmakers Terri Clark and Pam Tillis. Dubbed the Chicks With Hits Tour, the all-female lineup has trekked across North America throughout the past few years, bringing harmonies and humor to each set.
