Stoney LaRue Announces New Album ‘Us Time’

Country artist Stoney LaRue has announced new album, Us Time, a collection of his fan-favorite songs and popular covers.

The album, which drops Oct. 16 on eOne Music, is based on his fans' preferences. LaRue's groupies, known as The LaRue Crue, have made it clear through live concerts which songs they love, and the singer recorded some of the top-requested songs.

From Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic,” Glen Campbell’s “Wichita Lineman” and Gary Stewart’s “Empty Glass,” to LaRue's never before recorded originals “Us Time" and new single “Easy She Comes” to the LaRue concert standards “Oklahoma Breakdown" and "Feet Don't Touch The Ground,” this collection of songs is a must for any LaRue fan.

LaRue went directly to his fans in finding songs for the album, asking via social media what songs they would want to hear him cover. He also heard requests from fans during his shows or at the merch booth, and he diligently kept a list of what his fans wanted.

“I am excited, honored, blessed and extremely elated that I get this opportunity to work with the people I do and that the fans gave me their ideas on what they wanted to see from me on this record. It is their record and I am honored to be the voice,” says LaRue.

“There is so much that went into this project and I am very proud of it. I mean, how often do you also get to have your fans on the cover of your project! That is very special and means a lot to me."

Us Time's cover art features a collage filled with 21 photos of LaRue with fans and it ties together perfectly with the album's intent to be about the fans.

He has been open with fans even during difficult seasons; LaRue was recently in the news following a domestic dispute in July, and he told fans he was seeking treatment, and thanked them for support.
