Fans anxious for more news about Steven Tyler's solo country project may not have to wait much longer: The singer has announced solo tour dates for 2016.

Thus far, only two dates have been revealed: March 29 and 31, at the Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. At both shows, Tyler will be performing with Loving Mary, a six-piece Nashville-based band of professional songwriters, including Marti Frederiksen, a frequent Aerosmith collaborator. The announcement states that Tyler will be performing both solo material and Aerosmith favorites at both concerts.

Rumors of Tyler's plans for a solo country career first began swirling back in March. In early April, he officially announced his signing with Big Machine Label Group's Dot Records. He released his first country single, "Love Is Your Name," in May.

In September, Tyler revealed that he was hoping to debut a full album in "February or so."

“I think country music is the new rock ‘n’ roll,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer says. “I mean, you can listen to the lyrics, you can really get into it, just as you could get into “Stairway to Heaven.”

“Country’s not just about porches, dogs and kicking my boots up,” Tyler adds. “It’s a whole lot more, but it’s about being real. You know, the world’s gone so far away from that. I hope it comes back.”

Tickets for the two shows are scheduled to go on sale on Dec. 4. More information is available on the Fallsview Casino Resort website.
