Authorities in Raleigh, N.C. have arrested a suspect in the home invasion robbery of Scotty McCreery and a group of friends.

19-year-old Mikkail Jamal Shaw turned himself in to Raleigh police, according to local news station WRAL. An arrest warrant states that Shaw and two other men broke into an apartment near the campus of North Carolina State University where the 'American Idol' season 10 winner was visiting a group of friends around 2AM Monday morning (May 5) and forced them to lie face down at gunpoint. They were armed with a pistol and an assault rifle.

The three made off with two wallets, three cellphones and a computer.

Police charged Shaw with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon Wednesday morning (May 7). He remains in the Wake County Jail under a $375,000 bond. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at 2PM.

McCreery is attending classes at the nearby college while simultaneously pursuing his music career.

"It was definitely a very scary night," he posted to Twitter after the incident.

“I will share more when the time is right, but as of now we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation,” McCreery added. “Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support.”

Authorities in Raleigh are still looking for the two other suspects.
