Scotty McCreery had some fun kicking off his 2018 Seasons Change Tour with a cross-genre rendition of a mega-hit. The country star mixed it up onstage recently by covering Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You;" press play above to watch.

McCreery played the massively popular pop song at the first stop of his Seasons Change Tour in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday evening (Nov. 29). For his version of Sheeran's song, however, the "Five More Minutes" singer added his own country flair, and also slowed things down just a little bit. In a fan-captured video that was shared to Twitter, McCreery is seen having fun onstage, with his guitar slung across his back, the crowd singing along during his performance.

The Seasons Change Tour is scheduled to run through the winter, until Jan. 26. In the summer of 2018, McCreery announced the tour, as well as the fact that he would be bringing openers Heather Morgan and Jimmie Allen along for the ride. McCreery explained to the Boot in August of 2018 that because his Seasons Change album was such a personal and important project for him, he wanted to be sure to select supporting acts for the tour who reflected authenticity in their work and especially commitment to songwriting. Both Allen and Morgan, he continued, were a natural fit for the bill.

Tickets for McCreery's Seasons Change Tour are available now. More information about McCreery can be found on his official website.
