Sara Evans has announced a release date for her next album, 'Slow Me Down.'

The singer is set to release her new project in March of 2014, and it marks a change of pace. Working with producer Mark Bright -- who also produced her multi-platinum effort, 'Real Fine Place' -- Evans drafted several high-profile guest stars for the new record.

She collaborated with Vince Gill on 'Better Off,' and Isaac Slade of the Fray for a duet on 'Can't Stop Loving You.' Evans also recorded a cover of Gavin DeGraw's 'Not Over You,' featuring DeGraw on harmony vocals.

“Making 'Slow Me Down' has been a truly amazing experience,” Evans says in a press release. “I had the chance to co-write with some of my favorite writers, work with Mark and some truly incredible musicians -- and now hearing what we created gives me such an incredible sense of pride. Having Isaac, Gavin and Vince sing with me was an amazing experience and they took those songs to another level. I honestly have never been more excited to have everyone hear one of my albums. I cannot wait to share it with everyone.”

The experience was worry-free for Evans. “This whole process has been 100 percent joy,” she tells Taste of Country about recording her new CD. “No stress at all. Just 100 percent joy.”

Finding joy in a recording studio was something she missed in her last two albums -- her 2007 'Greatest Hits' CD, as well as 2011's 'Stronger.' In 2007, she was undergoing a painful public divorce from her first husband, Craig Schelske, while in 2011, she, along with her three children, were relocating to Alabama with her current husband, Jay Barker, and his four children. But now, with her home life firmly established, that happiness exudes in her songs.

“This album has turned out to be really, really sexy and confident,” Evans notes. “And the confidence part is a real picture of where I am right now in my life, and how I feel about things. So I guess it’s two words: sexy and confident.”

'Slow Me Down' is set for release on March 4, 2014 via Sony Nashville. The album's title song and first single, 'Slow Me Down,' is available for purchase here. Pre-order the entire record here.
