Sara Evans has poured her heart and soul into making her latest album, ‘Slow Me Down.’ The singer says she thought of her fans first, as she compiled the tunes for the upcoming project.

“I set out to make a record that my fans would respect,” she says. “That my fans would want to listen to from top to bottom over and over and over. Those are always the albums I look back on and I think this album changed my life.”

The Missouri native invited the Fray’s Isaac Slade into the studio with her to help her record ‘Can’t Stop Loving You.’

“Having Isaac Slade in the studio was awesome,” she boasts. “He’s an amazing singer. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Fray. He just has a very, very sexy voice, and when your voice comes together with somebody else’s voice, and they blend so well, it’s just sort of like butter, singing with him.”

Evans also asked Gavin DeGraw to collaborate with her on the song, ‘Not Over You.’

“Having Gavin DeGraw sing on ‘Not Over You’ is literally a dream come true,” she admits. “I had no idea what he was actually going to contribute to the song, and I wasn’t able to be in the studio when he came in to sing his part, but the first time I heard it, I actually cried, and I’m not exaggerating. I cried when I heard what he added to the song. I  mean, he took it from being a great song and a great track, to being a phenomenal song, and such a powerful and emotional track.”

The songstress, whose last album, ‘Stronger,’ was released in 2011, says the wait between albums was definitely worth it.

“It’s been a truly phenomenal experience for me,” she notes. “I want to say this is the best record I’ve ever made, and I hope that my fans agree. I hope that people in the industry agree. I’m so proud of it. I think it sounds different from anything I’ve ever done, yet it’s still the same Sara Evans sound. I’m so excited for people to hear it.”

Evans also invited Vince Gill to sing with her on the song, ‘Better Off.’  'Slow Me Down' will be available on March 11. Pre-order the album here.
