Fans hoping to catch Taylor Swift in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables' may find themselves feeling a little, well, miserable. According to TheInsider.com, the role of Eponine, which Taylor had been offered, has gone to Samantha Barks, a British stage actress who played the part for a year.

"Most incredible moment of my life!!!" the 21-year-old singer and thespian tweeted.

Samantha got the good news after a performance of 'Oliver!' as her producer for that show, Cameron Mackintosh, made the announcement onstage.

Coincidentally, Samantha is the ex-girlfriend of Nick Jonas, whose brother, Joe Jonas, is Taylor's ex.

'Les Miserables,' whose star-studded cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, is set to begin filming next month and could hit theaters by December.
