Sam Hunt has released "Make You Miss Me" as his latest single, the sixth from his Montevallo album.

"Make You Miss Me" was written by Hunt, Josh Osborne and Matthew Ramsey. Unlike his previous single, "Break Up in a Small Town," in which Hunt sounds heartbroken and forlorn, the singer-songwriter is the one holding the power in this tune; instead of spending time thinking about his ex, she's the one thinking about him -- at least, that's Hunt's goal.

"I ain't gonna be that easy to leave / Girl, I'm gonna make you miss me," Hunt sings in the song's chorus. "Make you wish that you were sleeping in my shirt / Lie about my jacket and tell everyone it's yours / When your phone rings after midnight and you're thinking maybe it's me / Gonna make you miss me."

"Make You Miss Me" has big shoes to fill: Hunt's four previous singles have all been certified platinum; three ("Leave the Night On," "Take Your Time" and "House Party") went to No. 1, while "Break Up in a Small Town" hit No. 2.
