Sam Hunt has released "House Party" as his newest single. The song is the fourth release from his freshman Montevallo album, which came out in 2014.

The uptempo tune, which features lines like, "Let’s have a house party / We don’t need nobody / Turn your TV off, break that boombox out / We’ll wake up all the neighbors 'til the whole block hates us / And the cops show up, try to shut us down / If you’re gonna be a homebody / We’re gonna have a house party / If you wanna be a homebody / We’re gonna have a house party," is the perfect song to kick off the summer season.

Hunt wrote "House Party" with Zach Crowell and Jerry Flowers. The 30-year-old co-wrote all of the songs on Montevallo, after starting his career writing songs like "Come Over" for Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban's "Cop Car" and "We Are Tonight" for Billy Currington.

"I didn’t know you could write songs for a living,” Hunt says. “Then I realized there were lots of publishers in Nashville, and these publishers were partnered with songwriters, and a lot of the songs that I’d heard on country radio over the years were written by all these guys."

Hunt will have plenty of opportunities to perform "House Party" over the next few months. He and Hunter Hayes are serving as the opening acts for Lady Antebellum on their Wheels Up 2015 Tour. A complete list of all of his upcoming shows are available on his website.
