Even though Sam Hunt is a relative newcomer in country music, he didn't show any newbie nerves during his performance of "House Party" at the 2015 CMT Music Awards.

After hitting the red carpet, Hunt hit the stage in his all-white ensemble, slicked-back hair and exuberant personality. Fans immediately responded to the energetic song, and the singer worked the stage, grabbing (lucky) fans' hands and roaming every corner.

"House Party" is Hunt's fourth single from his debut album, Montevallo; he penned it with Zach Crowell and Jerry Flowers. The uptempo tune features party-centric lines like, “Let’s have a house party / We don’t need nobody / Turn your TV off, break that boombox out / We’ll wake up all the neighbors ’til the whole block hates us / And the cops show up, try to shut us down / If you’re gonna be a homebody / We’re gonna have a house party / If you wanna be a homebody / We’re gonna have a house party."

Hunt won Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2015 CMT Music Awards, for his "Leave the Night On" music video. He's currently opening for Lady Antebellum's Wheels Up 2015 Tour.
