Fans of country music have been waiting for Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood's 2016 Grammy Awards collaboration ever since their performance was announced, and it was certainly worth waiting for. The duo performed not one, but two of their individual hits in a special mashup.

Hunt, wearing a T-shirt and jeans, kicked off the set with his massive hit "Take Your Time," which was unexpected but readily embraced. Soon, Underwood appeared side-stage, wearing a see-through white dress -- a more racy look than she's opted for before.

Underwood and Hunt then turned "Heartbeat" into a duet (as opposed to the version that appears on Underwood's Storyteller album, on which Hunt merely adds background vocals), and the end result was pretty magical. Both are strong vocalists, and it's not often that you see either of them duet with someone of the opposite sex.

Both Underwood and Hunt received Grammys nominations this year: Underwood was up for Best Country Solo Performance, for "Little Toy Guns," while Hunt received nods for Best Country Album, for Montevallo, and the all-genre Best New Artist award.
