Rudy Parris of ‘The Voice’ Signs Record Deal
Rudy Parris has been signed to Warrior Records/UMGD.
'The Voice' competitor, who was a member of Team Blake during the show's third season, is expected to release an album later this year.
“As both a brilliant songwriter and performer, Rudy brings an amazing combination of talents to our company,” says Warrior President/CEO Jim Ervin. “I’m thrilled to welcome him to Warrior Records and look forward to creating great music together.”
The Visalia, Calif., native held an eight-year residency at the Crystal Palace alongside Buck Owens, which introduced him the to Bakersfield sound and had a major influence on his music.
“I learned from Buck that I just need to be me,” Parris says. “Buck played his music, had fun, and joked around. He instilled in me that sense of freedom to be myself.”
Parris will record his album at the famed Capitol Records Studios in Hollywood. He will have producer credits along with Ervin.
