Country singer Robby Armstrong may have just released his debut single, 'Rodeo,' but his career is clearly on a fast track to success. The California native has already scored several songs in a star-studded film, which also features a guest appearance by the singer-songwriter.

'Rodeo,' which Armstrong co-wrote with Darrell Brown (whose other songwriting credits include LeAnn Rimes, Keith Urban and Josh Turner), is among three of his tunes that will appear on the soundtrack of the upcoming flick 'Gambit,' which stars Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth. In addition, Armstrong and his band will make a cameo in the film, appearing as themselves.

'Rodeo' has also been featured in The Sims video game, and is being played at the Los Angeles Angels' stadium as the team's rally song. In addition, a dance remix of the tune is currently being played at clubs all over the country.

Armstrong will play several shows on the West Coast over the summer, in support of his new album. Keep track of all of his upcoming shows here.
