Reba McEntire and her husband (and manager) Narvel Blackstock have enjoyed more than 20 years together in wedded bliss. But the superstar still vividly recalls the couple's first Valentine's Day together as husband and wife, even though the occasion didn't have an entirely happy ending.

To celebrate, Narvel presented his new bride a "beautiful diamond tennis bracelet," Reba tells Nashville's Tennessean newspaper. Her gift to Narvel: a shiny, new ... power tool!

"We had just bought our place out in Gallatin [Tenn.], and we were trying to clear it," Reba explains. "He said, 'I can do that.' So I got him a chainsaw for Valentine's Day. And that went over like a lead balloon because the chain was on backwards and he worked all day long trying to trim up the low branches and his shoulders and arms and neck were killing him the next day."

After one day of effort, Narvel retired the chainsaw and hired professional landscapers to finish the job. "I don't know what ever happened to that chainsaw," Reba laughs. "But I still have my tennis bracelet."

Reba, who recently enjoyed the biggest hit of her career with her No.1 smash, 'Consider Me Gone,' is on the road with longtime friend George Strait, along with Lee Ann Womack as the opening act.
