Reba McEntire Talks Songwritng and Surfing

Although she's now living in Los Angeles, Reba McEntire stays connected to Nashville via the World Wide Web. She tells GAC that she purchases music online and stays in touch with friends via e-mail, especially her songwriting buddies.

"I've even been able to write some songs going back and forth on email," says McEntire. "Ronnie Dunn and I wrote a song for my 'Duets' project on email."

The country songstress says she has also co-written songs via e-mail with her pals Kelly Clarkson and Jamie O'Neal. She's putting her Web-surfing skills toward another personal project, as well.

"When I'm making a slideshow for a vacation we've just taken, I like to buy music to fit the mood of the places we visited," McEntire says.

McEntire isn't the only "surfer" in the family, however. Son Shelby spends much of his time surfing in the Pacific Ocean.

Look for a new Reba McEntire album sometime in 2009.
