Reba McEntire's latest single may be 'Strange,' but its rapid-fire trip up the country chart isn't. Earlier this year, McEntire shattered a record held by Dolly Parton as the female artist with the most Top 10 hits. With its debut at No. 39 on Billboard's Top Country Songs chart, 'Strange' sets another record, becoming the highest debuting single of McEntire's 30-plus year career.

The single, which McEntire introduced on the ACM Awards telecast earlier this month, is the first from her debut disc on the Valory label. It's the singer's first solo album in six years.
"I have had the most fun of my career picking out songs for my new record on Valory," says McEntire. "To have this first one be the highest debuting song of my career so far, is just icing on the cake. I am thrilled with my new team!"

McEntire returns to TV this weekend as a presenter at the TV Land Awards, airing Sunday, April 26, on the TV Land network. She'll introduce a special tribute to the long-running CBS primetime soap, 'Knots Landing.'
