Reba is bringing country to California and also reportedly to ABC. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the ABC television network has picked up the pilot for the singer-actress' upcoming sitcom, 'Malibu Country.' The half-hour show will center on Reba's character, who moves from Nashville to Malibu, Calif., after discovering her rock-star husband was cheating on her. The southern spitfire and her kids will undoubtedly stick out like sore thumbs in the very different world of Malibu, where she'll also try to resurrect her music career.

Shooting for the 'Malibu Country' pilot episode is tentatively set for April, and if all goes well, they'll continue filming more episodes at the end of the summer.

"I miss the 'Reba' show so much, so it will be great to get back into the TV world again!" Reba posted on her website, referring to her sitcom that ran from 2001 - 2007 on the WB and CW networks.

Reba will also act as an executive producer on 'Malibu Country,' alongside her husband Narvel Blackstock and former 'Reba' producer Kevin Abbott, along with Mindy Schultheis, Michael Hanel, Pam Williams and musician Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. It's not yet known when the pilot will air.

Reba can next be seen on the small screen on the March 2 episode of 'Who Do You Think You Are.' She will investigate her family history in the documentary-style show, which airs on NBC. Season 3 of the popular program premieres tonight (Feb. 3) at 8:00 PM, featuring acclaimed actor Martin Sheen.
