Multi-platinum country superstars Rascal Flatts, whose cover of Canadian songwriter Tom Cochrane's 'Life Is a Highway' is featured on the soundtrack to the new Disney-Pixar movie 'Cars,' recently told AOL Music they'd be doing the same thing even if they were utter unknowns.

"We'd probably still be down at the fiddle and steel-guitar bar playing music on Mondays and Tuesdays," guitarist Joe Don Rooney said. "And still trying to get a record deal."

"That's the truth," agreed singer Gary LeVox. "Music to us is just -- it's kinda like a sixth sense to us at this point."

Asked to imagine an alternate life for himself, Rooney said if it weren't for music, he'd probably be running "some hunting outfit somewhere." And bassist Jay DeMarcus said that he'd "be wearing one of those mascot uniforms down at, you know, Disney World or something."

Which mascot? "Goofy," he joked, much to his mates' amusement.

Rascal Flatts will be rockin' the highway all summer in support of their latest, 'Me and My Gang,' which debuted at No. 1 in April.
