Rascal Flatts shared some holiday cheer with children at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville on Thursday (Dec. 10). Gary, Jay and Joe Don turned on the lights lining the street next to the hospital and visited with patients and families after the tree lighting ceremony.

For their last performance of 2009, the trio will perform at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday (Dec. 11). In honor of the award-winning group, the Opry is donating tickets for their appearance to the patients, families and staff at the Children's Hospital. The trio has raised more than $3 million for the hospital over the past several years.

"The Opry is near and dear and sacred to all three of our hearts," Jay Demarcus tells CJD Country. "Now that we have a little more control over our schedule, we want start doing the Opry more and more."

Earlier this week, Rascal Flatts announced the dates for their 2010 American Living Unstoppable Tour, with special guest Darius Rucker.
