Rascal Flatts Have ‘Idol’ Time on Their Hands
Rascal Flatts will make their third appearance on FOX's 'American Idol' next week. The trio will perform their hit 'Unstoppable,' and will sing with pop star Shakira on her song 'Gypsy.'
The guys are no strangers to the reality talent show. They previously performed on the 'Idol' season finale in May 2005 as a special guest of Carrie Underwood, who was named the winner that night. The band also performed 'My Wish' when they appeared on the 'Idol Gives Back' charity special in 2007. In another Idol connection, their No. 1 hit 'Here Comes Goodbye' was co-written by season six finalist Chris Sligh.
The guys are off the road for a little while, but will make appearances on NBC's 'Today' show Summer Concert Series on June 11, followed by a performance at Nashville's LP Field during the CMA Music Festival on June 12.
