Fans all over the world are mourning the death of actor Paul Walker.

The 40-year-old star of the 'Fast and the Furious' franchise died Saturday (Nov. 30) in a car accident, and news of his death swept the internet like wildfire Saturday night as peers and fans struggled to cope with the tragedy.

Walker was riding in the passenger seat of a Porsche after leaving a charity event when the driver lost control and struck either a tree or a pole, according to various accounts. The car burst into flames, and both Walker and the driver were killed, ScreenCrush reports. The actor had recently been working on ‘Fast and Furious 7‘ with Vin Diesel. Representatives for Walker confirmed the news via his official Facebook page.
