Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, the Charlie Daniels Band and several other artists will take the stage at the historic Grand Ole Opry House on May 3 for 'Play On Nashville!,' a special show to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the catastrophic flood of May 1 and 2, 2010. The flood left thousands in Nashville and middle Tennessee homeless and cost the city more than $1 billion. In Tennessee, 21 people were killed, 10 of whom were in Davidson County, which includes Nashville.

The Opry House was submerged in more than four feet of water when the rains subsided. With crews working around the clock, the Opry celebrated its re-opening with a star-studded celebration almost six months later.

"It's hard to believe that it's been a year since the flood," says Dierks. "The city of Nashville, the Opry, and the country music community were so resilient and came together to rebuild so quickly after the devastation. I've never been more proud to be an Opry member, and I'm looking forward to celebrating that sense of community again on Tuesday."

Pictures of the flood will be displayed on the Opry's backdrop during the show, and will also be made into a commemorative print available for purchase. Photos can be e-mailed to the Opry at oprymail@gmail.com by Thursday, April 28.

A portion of the proceeds from the May 3 concert will benefit Hands On Nashville, the American Red Cross and United Way of Metropolitan Nashville. Tickets for the once-in-a-lifetime event are on sale now and can be purchased here.
