Judges have been announced and voting is now underway for Great American Country's new reality talent show, 'The Next GAC Star.' Legendary songwriter and producer Desmond Child, who has worked with acts ranging from Carrie Underwood to Aerosmith, will be acting as a judge on the show. His judging partner will be Victoria Shaw, an award-winning songwriter who has penned hits for Trisha Yearwood and Christina Aguilera and co-produced Lady Antebellum's debut CD.

"Leave it to GAC to create a contest with fierce competition where we judges look for someone with the total package: looks, talent and the 'it' factor," says Shaw. "The contestants better be prepared to impress an outspoken redhead on the panel of judges. GAC might never be the same again!

The Next GAC Star is accepting entries through July 14. Hopeful contestants are encouraged to upload their videos, mp3s and photos at www.gactv.com/star.

'The Next GAC STar' aims to find the next big talent in country music by having viewers watch and vote on contestants online, through Music Nation's online video player. You can watch and vote on who makes the show's Top 6 at http://musicnation.com/contest/gacstar/matchup. Voting runs through July 21, and after your votes are counted, six finalists will be flown to Nashville for the televised competition. The winning artist will receive a record deal and will get to make a music video for GAC.
