5 ‘OMG!’ Moments From the ‘Nashville’ Season 6 Premiere

Nashville, CMT’s relentlessly dramatic hour-long drama about fictional country music stars, made its return to the network on Thursday night (Jan. 4). This sixth season of the show will be its final one, and the lives of the stars of the Nashville universe are as complicated as ever.

Season 6 of Nashville kicked off with just enough intrigue to keep viewers hooked throughout the next -- and final -- 15 episodes. In the premiere episode, viewers saw Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) have an onstage meltdown before being charmed by an “authenticity”-obsessed self-help guru; Maddie Jaymes (Lennon Stella) take to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (and maybe found herself a new guy in the process); and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) make his first steps toward finding love after the death of his wife, Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton).
