Moonshine Bandits, 'Arrest Me' Lyric Video -- Premiere

Moonshine Bandits are debuting a brand-new lyric video for 'Arrest Me,' and The Boot's readers are the first to get a peek at the clip.

The party tune comes off the duo's new EP, 'Rebels on the Run,' released on Sept. 30. Like their previous material, 'Arrest Me' blends rap and country, reflecting Tex and Bird's West Coast upbringing.

“We’re from Central California, so it’s very blue collar and agricultural-oriented here in the Valley,” says Tex. “We grew up on West Coast hip-hop and West Coast rap, but we also got into country ... Our content has always been about where we’re from and what we do. There were a lot of outdoor parties in high school and just a lot of good-time type music.”

The video sets the song's lyrics over live footage -- the Bandits on stage, crowds of fans and backstage antics. It's a fitting background, as Tex says their live shows are how the Bandits have built up their fan base.

“We’ve taken a grassroots approach and haven’t built off of radio or TV, but rather our live performances," he says. "So, when we do our songwriting, we always think about whether the music would go over well at our live shows and how the crowds will respond ... So far, we’ve had pretty good success as far as crowd reaction."

'Rebels on the Run' is available now on iTunes. Moonshine Bandits will embark on a 24-date tour in mid-December, also featuring Demun Jones and Big B. See a list of dates below.
