On September 28, Montgomery Gentry will release 'Hits and More: Life Beside A Gravel Road,' a greatest hits collection that will be packed with chart-topping fan favorites -- plus three brand-new tracks. It is the duo's eighth studio album and second hits collection in their illustrious 11-year career.

"When we put out our first Greatest Hits album, Eddie and I felt like we'd just gotten started," Troy Gentry tells Music Row. "We're always trying to better ourselves, both in the studio and on stage. If you look at the direction Montgomery Gentry has gone, we started out with the hard-driving, in-your-face, honky-tonk, hell-raising style -- and carried that over into more working man's songs. We've really tried to connect and relate to our fans through our music over the years."

Indeed, Eddie and Troy have connected with three No.1 smashes and three Top 5 hits since they released 'Something To Be Proud Of: The Best Of 1999-2005' in 2005. They were also Grammy-nominated for one of those chart-toppers, 'Lucky Man' and received an ACM Album of the Year nomination for 2008's 'Back When I Knew It All.'

Having blazed their own Southern-rockin', rowdy way into the hearts of legions of fans over the past decade, Troy and Eddie not only wanted to present them with a package of their favorite hits, such as 'Lucky Man' and 'Roll With Me,' but also with the special treat of three never-before-heard songs.

"Our fans are the most important to us," says Eddie. "And over these last few years on the road, we've realized that our fans go crazy over some of the newer songs too."

"We weren't about to give our fans another Greatest Hits album without some new Montgomery Gentry music to look forward to," adds Troy. "The new songs keep to our roots. When we sing a song, it'll always tell a story. That's just who we are."

'Hits And More: Life Beside A Gravel Road' also includes Montgomery Gentry's current single, 'While You're Still Young.'
