Miranda Lambert has two very appropriate words to describe the past year: "crazy" and "hectic." The reigning CMA Female Vocalist for a second consecutive year not only got married (to reigning CMA Male Vocalist Blake Shelton), she hit the road hard and even found time to release her fourth album, 'Four the Record.' Miranda's latest debuted at No. 1 on the country chart this week, which earned the critically-acclaimed disc a spot in the history books. No other country artist has ever topped the chart with their first four albums -- and not even Madonna or Whitney Houston achieved that impressive feat on the pop chart!

"It's exhausting, but this is a great way to end all of that," Miranda told reporters backstage at the CMAs, adding that she's looking forward to a break during the holidays so she can find out just what else she's been up to lately! "I'll sit around at Christmas and Google myself. [laughs] Because I have no idea what I've been doing! I'm trying to start being better about living in the moment, to absorb it all and stay humble."

In addition to enjoying wedded bliss, Miranda and Blake are the first married couple in 11 years to win CMA Male and Female Vocalist in the same year since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill took the honors in 2000. No one was more stunned about winning her award this year than Miranda herself.

"I was really surprised," she reveals. "I had a great year last year -- I won three CMAs on my birthday. So I was just happy to be here and be a part of it. But I was expecting someone else to take this one this year."

Miranda, who turned 28 yesterday (Nov. 10), still has a future goal in mind, and thanks to her fellow female entertainers who also scored CMA victories this year.

"When Taylor [Swift] won Entertainer [of the Year], I turned to Blake and said, 'Who runs the world? Girls!' I am really happy that female singer/songwriters are starting to be really prominent. I think it's so cool that [Kimberly Perry of the Band Perry] wrote the Song of the Year ['If I Die Young'] by herself. That's a dream of mine."

A dream only three female artists have ever accomplished: Kimberly, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland (who wrote 2008's CMA Song of the Year, 'Stay') and K.T. Oslin (who penned the 1988 CMA Song of the Year, ''80s Ladies').

Miranda will be back on the road in January with her On Fire trek. Keep track of her tour schedule here.
