Miranda Lambert is heading to the small screen! The country songbird's life story will be the basis of a new television show.

Miranda is developing an hour-long drama for ABC Family, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project will be based on Miranda's childhood in Texas about a family whose parents are private investigators, with the children assisting in solving crimes.

Miranda wrote her hit 'Gunpowder & Lead,' based on one of the experiences during her younger years. "The song is actually about waiting for a husband to get out of jail so she can shoot him. But it came from a really real place in my life," she explains. "When I was 14 years old, my parents took in abused women and children. I had to share my room with a mom and daughter, and my brother had to share with two brothers. Their mom lived downstairs, and it was a three bedroom house. It really has a meaning to me."

Miranda, who picked up four ACM Awards on Sunday night, will serve as an executive producer with her mother Beverly, manager Marion Kraft and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan. Scott Kaufer ('Memphis Beat') will write and also executive produce.

The multi-talented performer resumes her Revolution Continues tour in Norman, Okla., on Thursday (April 7).
