Miranda Lambert has released a full-length video for her song "Roots and Wings," which was penned for a Ram Trucks commercial.

The song first came out as part of a marketing campaign by Ram, but fans responded to the track's lyrics and the country setting of the clip, so Lambert has released both a complete music video and a longer version of the track.

“I’ve seen so many positive reactions to the song and the partnership with Ram,” the singer says in a press release. “The song is just so special and personal to me, and it is so amazing what the Ram team did to bring it to life that I want my fans to see it, too.”

The video is an extension of the original ad, featuring Lambert driving her Ram truck down country roads as photos and videos of memories flash across the screen.

"Roots and Wings" is all about taking what life hands you and making it your own, with Lambert singing, “I got red dirt stains on my boots and jeans / Calloused fingers from my guitar strings / Wild like the wind in the tall pine trees / I got roots, and I got wings."

“I am very inspired by what the Ram brand stands for — being who you are, working hard, staying true to your roots,” Lambert said when the ad was originally released. “I wanted to write a song that would represent all of those things. "Roots and Wings" is personal to me about where I come from and where I am going. The guys at Ram really made the lyrics come to life with the imagery, and I hope it speaks to people the way it does to me.”
