The Boot rounds up today's country music news from around the web.

Tonight is the night (Feb. 21) Miranda Lambert appears on "Project Runway"! The contestants on the Lifetime reality competition show were charged with the task of designing two outfits for the singer: one performance look and one red carpet look. They then faced Miranda and judges Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia to get their critique of each design. In a preview of the episode, the curvaceous singer says of one dress, "I don't know that the fabric on me would be super-forgiving," although the judges disagree with her. After selling out his April 12 show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in just 30 minutes, Dwight Yoakam added a second show at the historic venue on April 13. Well, it sold out in just 45 minutes. The country icon is also set to perform at this year's Bonnaroo. [CountryMusicIsLove]

Keith Urban's wife, Nicole Kidman has been asking her hubby for "American Idol" gossip. While watching the audition rounds of the show together, the singer says his bride would ask him, "Does he go through? Does she go through?" Their two daughters are in on the action, too, having visited the set. "Nic and I love them being around that kind of environment, watching people sing and perform and just generally be around music, and the same with movie sets," Keith explains. "They are certainly music fans. They haven't watched the show yet but I have a feeling they will be doing so soon." [Unreality TV]

Jewel has an uncanny resemblance to June Carter Cash in the upcoming Lifetime movie, "The June Carter Cash Story," and the singer insists her similarities to the late country legend run way more than skin deep. "We both were part of a musical family who found themselves out in the middle of nowhere with not much but an outhouse," she says. "Being grounded and down-to-earth are just things you learn from humble beginnings like that. I also think it gave both of us a great big sense of humor." This is Jewel's first acting role in a made-for-TV movie. [Country Weekly]

"Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere is thankful her hit show is filmed its namesake city, and not on a Hollywood stage made to look like they're in the country music capital. In fact, she's thrilled about her new Nashville address. "It's been unbelievable how quickly this place has become my home, and how quickly I've made friends. I'm from New York, and when I [first] moved out to L.A., it was pretty intense, because in L.A. it takes a good four years to really make it home," she says. [Just Jared]
