Miranda LambertMiranda Lambert is certainly well-known for her love of animals, from rescuing strays to holding benefits such as her Cause for the Paws event every year. She also has quite the menagerie hanging out on her ranch in Tishomingo, Okla. What she has never done before is get rid of a couple of pets ... until now.

Miranda had a pair of donkeys, and according to the singer, they were getting on her last nerve, so she found them a new owner. "They are called jackasses for a reason," Miranda tells The Boot. "I found that out. No, I don't enjoy the donkeys. And this lady was really wanting two donkeys and I said, 'I can totally hook you up.'"

The Texas native has four horses -- Miss Emily, Sunny Jim, Zeus Troubadour and Lucky Star, who was a rescue. "We found him eating out of [boyfriend] Blake [Shelton]'s deer feeder on his land," explains Miranda. "Random. But now he's doing good. He's old as the hills but he's hanging out and doing good now. He gained about 30 pounds." She also has three miniature horses, Sugar Pie, Annie and Adriana, as well as two pot-belly pigs, Amos and Gideon. And let's not forget the chickens! "They are just called 'Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens' as a whole, because chickens come and go and I didn't want to name them." Miranda and Blake have six dogs -- Jessie, Waylon, Delilah, Delta, Steve and Cher -- in addition to three cats -- Maxine Susie Q and Shelley.

Can we expect any more four-legged creatures to inhabit Miranda's place? Probably not. "I really am done," she insists. "I have six dogs now, and they are all rescues. Cher was the last one and right before her, we got Steve, which is Blake's dog that he found on his land. I don't know why his name is Steve -- because Blake named him, that's why. But we have enough. I want to make sure that I can give love to everything I have, and if I get any more, my whole life will be taken up with animals, which it already is. I feel like that's good because now I can start to focus. If I find one on the side of the road or go to a shelter to help find it for somebody else. I'm always asking people if they want a dog. I'm really lucky at finding strays, I pick the best ones."

Miranda, sans animals, is currently crossing the country on her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour.
