Miranda Lambert Taps Famous Friends for ‘Only Prettier’ Video
Miranda Lambert is sitting "pretty" at the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Top Country Singles chart once again this week with her record-breaking hit, 'The House That Built Me.' She's now following the poignant ballad with the new single, 'Only Prettier,' for which she's already shot the music video. Miranda wrote the song with Natalie Hemby, also the co-writer on her first No. 1 hit, 'White Liar.'
"'Only Prettier' is an anthem. I want girls to have their fists in the air singing 'Only Prettier,'" Miranda says. "It's antagonistic, in a fun way, and I loved the attitude behind it. It kind of fools you, because it's got this really country, laid-back intro, but then it's balls-to-the-wall the rest of the way. It's so much fun!"
Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott, Laura Bell Bundy and the recently-engaged Kellie Pickler star in the video alongside Miranda. The lovely ladies play "socials" and "greasers" -- two rival cliques of girls attending a high school sock hop. Watch the video below.
