Miranda Lambert had a special guest at her Friday night (March 6) 2015 Certified Platinum Tour stop in her home state of Oklahoma: her husband, Blake Shelton.

"I don’t usually do two acoustic songs in the middle of my set, but I think I should tonight -- because I brought my husband with me," Lambert told the crowd as Shelton took the stage, to thunderous applause.

"Hello, Oklahoma," Shelton said (quotes via NewsOK.com). "I wanted to do this song tonight because Miranda is the reason I recorded this song."

The two then launched into Shelton's "God Gave Me You," before Shelton exited the stage, allowing his superstar wife to continue the show without him.

Lambert and Shelton repeated their performance on Saturday night (March 7), in Kansas City, where Shelton said he loved standing backstage watching "Miranda Lambert do what she does" (quote via Kansas.com). Press play on the video above to watch that performance.

Christian artist Dave Barnes originally wrote and recorded "God Gave Me You," which Shelton says he found while flipping through radio stations as he was driving.

“I had flown into Dallas, Texas, and got into my truck and was driving back to Oklahoma," Shelton tells The Boot. "It’s no secret, Miranda and I have had our ups and downs over the years and this was definitely at a low point at our relationship. But I heard that song come on the radio -- for whatever reason I was flipping through stations and landed on a contemporary Christian station, and that song came on and I almost had to pull the truck over. It was one of those moments for me where I felt like I was hearing that song at that moment for a reason."

"God Gave Me You" is on Shelton's Red River Blue album, which can be downloaded on iTunes.

Lambert will continue her Certified Platinum Tour this week with stops in Texas, Iowa and Michigan. A list of all of her upcoming shows is available on her website.
