Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ Loses Grammy Bid

The Miley Cyrus hit, 'The Climb,' featured in 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' has been knocked down from its status as a recent Grammy nominee.



PEOPLE reports that the tune, written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, and nominated for best song written for a soundtrack, was replaced on the ballot by 'All Is Love,' a song from 'Where the Wild Things Are.'

A source close to Miley says the switch didn't come as a surprise, adding that the song was submitted in the category by mistake and withdrawn the next day. Because she didn't write 'The Climb,' Miley herself was not nominated. No official explanation from the Grammys has been offered as to why the action was taken.

'The Climb' sold more than two million copies, reached No. 4 on the pop chart and climbed into the Top 30 on the country chart.
