Martina McBride TV Special to Promote Adoption

Did you know that there are more than half a million children in the U.S. who are in foster care and need permanent homes? Martina McBride has recruited several famous friends to help raise awareness for such statistics, and to help tell stories of the joys of adoption, on an upcoming CBS television special, 'A Home for the Holidays With Martina McBride.'

Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Gavin DeGraw, OneRepublic and Christina Perri will all perform alongside Martina on the special broadcast. Actresses Denise Richards and Katherine Heigl, who both have adopted daughters, will present on the show. Katherine's sister, Meg Heigl-Beltran, who was adopted herself, will also appear.

The 13th annual 'A Home for the Holidays With Martina McBride' is set to air Dec. 21 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. The special will spotlight real-life families, from California to Alabama, who have taken in foster children or who have adopted children. The special is presented in association with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Children's Action Network.
