Congratulations are in order for Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd: The two artists are engaged!

Both Morris and Hurd revealed their happy news on Instagram on Sunday: Morris shared three photos of the couple, her new engagement ring prominently on display, with the caption "Yes" and a ring emoji. Around the same time, Hurd shared a photo of the couple in a motorboat on a lake; it's captioned "7/3/17," leading commenters to believe that the couple got engaged on July 3.

Both Morris and Hurd are singer-songwriters signed to Sony Music Nashville. The two met in 2013 during a songwriting session, when they were randomly put together to write; during that session, they penned “Last Turn Home,” which Tim McGraw recorded.

Morris and Hurd had known each other “for only a couple of years” before they began dating, “but there was always this writing chemistry in the room.”

“Eventually, the timing of it was undeniable,” Morris says. “We had such a foundation built off writing so many songs over the years that we were like, ‘Why are we avoiding this?’”

Morris' star has been rising since the release of her debut single, "My Church," in early 2017. In May, Hurd released his first single since signing to Sony, "Love in a Bar."

“["Love in a Bar"] is very much an autobiographical song about my relationship with Maren,” Hurd tells People. “I met Maren writing songs, and I met her when I was starting to have success ... We would write, and then after, we’d go over to a bar in Midtown and have a couple beers. That’s when we started making a real connection, beyond a creative partnership.”
