Maddie & Tae’s ‘Start Here’ Debuts at No. 2, Earns Top 200 Spot

With their release of their debut full-length album, Start Here, Maddie & Tae find themselves second to only Luke Bryan.

The duo secured the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, behind the ACM Awards and CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year, by having their album sold and streamed close to 28,000 times during its debut week. In addition, they earned the No. 9 spot on the all-genre Top 200 chart.

“It’s been like a bobsled this year,” Maddie Marlow says. “Every time we turned around, there was some incredible piece of good news! What happened with the single. What happened with the video ... the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year nomination ... touring with Dierks! You never want to take things lightly, because they’re exactly what we’d hoped for.”

Adds Tae Dye, "To think that the songs Maddie and I write about our lives reflect what is happening in so many other people’s lives. It makes you feel connected to the fans even more! The platinum-selling "Girl in a Country Song" was Maddie & Tae's first single off of Start Here; "Fly" is the record's second single. The album is available for download on iTunes.
