Nobody in contemporary country music knows how to throw a party like Luke Bryan, and the superstar keeps the fun coming with the latest installment in his series of Spring Break EPs.

Released on Tuesday (March 11), 'Spring Break 6 . . . Like We Ain't Ever' sees Bryan re-visiting the fun-at-the-beach themes of years past, but with a slightly different focus on songs about relationships.

Key tracks like 'She Get Me High,' 'The Sand I Brought to the Beach' and 'Night One' are all as tightly-written as his biggest hits, and not just throwaway party music.

“The songs for this project came together so fast,” he explains. “These special EPs all began as a way to get new music out to the fans between studio projects."

He adds, "I feel like year after year we get a little bit better at writing for this. I think with these new songs I would be proud to put them on any album we release.”

The EPs have become an annual tradition for Bryan, who spent his high school and college spring breaks in Panama City, Fla. He returns there every year upon the release of his EPs for free performances at Spinnaker's Beach Club.

His concerts at the venue on Tuesday and Wednesday were a family affair, with his wife and mother in attendance, as well as childhood friends and songwriter Dallas Davidson, who has written some of Bryan's biggest hits. An estimated 80,000 fans crowded the beach for each performance this year, which featured a mix of cover songs, selections from Bryan's hit catalog and songs from the new EP.

“We kind of write ‘em with college kids and Spring Break and that whole party theme in mind,” Bryan says of the 'Spring Break' series. “I think it’s fun to put out songs just to get some new music out there for fans and more opportunities for them to have different types of music from me.”
