Luke Bryan's 'Someone Else Calling You Baby' has climbed to the top of both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard country charts, marking his third straight No. 1 single. Blake Shelton's 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking' is No. 2 on both charts, followed by last week's No. 1 song, Chris Young's 'Voices.'

There was no question on Luke's part -- or his record label's, for that matter -- what the first two singles from his 'Doin' My Thing' album wee going to be. However, when it came to the third, there were several choices, including the brand-new chart-topper.

"We knew 'Do I' was the runaway first single, and we really knew that 'Rain [Is a Good Thing]' was the second," Luke tells The Boot. "We got to 'Someone Else Calling You Baby,' and we had hundreds of conversations and pulled everybody in together to talk about it, probably a little too many. We narrowed it down to 'What Country Is,' 'Every Time I See You' and 'Someone Else Calling You Baby.'"

"'What Country Is,' I worship that song," enthuses the Georgia singer. "I absolutely love it, but we felt that people kind of know that about me. When we looked at 'Someone Else Calling You Baby,' I just felt like it was a great, driving, uptempo song, and it was something everybody relates to again. When you hear that chorus one time, you don't really have to hear it many more times, and it's with you. I just felt like I needed that kind of song."

Luke heads back out on Rascal Flatts' Nothing Like This tour in Erie, Pa., on Thursday (February 17), and is set to release his new EP, 'Spring Break 3 ... It's a Shore Thing,' on March 3. Click here for more of Luke's tour dates.
